LONG BIO

One of my favourite childhood memories takes place on a rainy day- a stereotypical day in Britain some may say. A friend and I were laid on my bedroom floor when she suggested we try to redraw some drawings from the old Disney books I had. Naturally, I agreed. Whilst she drew Cinderella, I flicked through 101 Dalmatians and found myself beginning to rewrite the story how I would tell it. I no longer have the copy of that story, written on scrap paper I had in my room, but that memory will always be precious to me as it’s how my journey into writing began.

Over the years writing and myself have had a rocky relationship. When I was younger, I felt the pressure to get a ‘normal job’ as my peers would word it. Then I grew up and realised it was time to be honest with myself. I didn’t want a traditional 9-5 job in an office. I wanted to tell stories. Stories, which I hoped, would one day make at least one person smile. After that realisation and a kick up the jacksie from my best friend I begun to take writing more seriously. This was back in 2016/2017.

Since then I’ve been writing many stories of all kinds. Sometimes it’s fanfiction, often it’s fantasy, and on the odd occasion I’ve dipped my toe into short stories and science fiction too.

My goal for the future is simple. One day I hope that my books will hit the shelves too.
